Larry Kosson will be traveling to the SXSW Festival in March to participate in a music industry panel discussion. The session, “Programming Intimate Spaces” will take place on March 16, 2017 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at the Austin Convention Center in Room C .Joining Larry will be Patrick Brogan from Arts Quest, Anya Siglin from The Ark and Laura Kendall from Omaha PAC.
Small venues provide audiences with unrivaled intimate experiences. These venues are a critical part of the touring ecosystem. Programming venues with less than 500 seats also creates unique challenges. Thin profit margins and competition for discretionary income makes programming a small venue a very risky business.
